π How to Make a Delicious Strawberry Cake at Home
Who doesn't love a soft, fruity strawberry cake? Whether it’s for a birthday, celebration, or just a weekend treat, this homemade strawberry cake is a crowd-pleaser! Made with real strawberries and topped with creamy frosting, it’s light, moist, and bursting with flavor.
Ingredients
Dry Ingredients:

All-purpose flour – 1½ cups

Baking powder – 1½ teaspoons

Salt – ¼ teaspoon

Sugar – 1 cup
Wet Ingredients:

Unsalted butter (softened) – ½ cup

Eggs – 2

Milk – ½ cup

Strawberry essence – 1 teaspoon

Strawberry puree – ½ cup
For Frosting:

Heavy whipping cream – 1 cup

Powdered sugar – ½ cup

Strawberry essence – ½ teaspoon
-
Finely chopped strawberries – a few
Instructions
1. Prep Work:

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

Grease your cake tin with butter and dust it lightly with flour, or line it with parchment paper.
2. Make the Cake Batter:

In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together until light and creamy.

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Mix in the milk and strawberry essence.

Stir in the strawberry puree.

In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture into the wet batter and mix until smooth.
3. Bake the Cake:

Pour the batter into the prepared cake tin.

Bake for 30–35 minutes at 180°C (350°F), or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Let the cake cool completely on a wire rack before frosting.
4. Make the Frosting:

Whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar together until soft peaks form.

Add strawberry essence and gently fold in the chopped strawberries.

Spread the frosting over the cooled cake.
Tips:

If you don’t have fresh strawberry puree, you can use store-bought strawberry crush or jam.
